Blackwater River Correctional Facility Visiting Hours
Prisoners at the facility are permitted to visit with outsiders. Visitation at the facility occurs between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on the weekends, with registration beginning at 8:15 a.m. The facility will not process visitors after 2:00 p.m. unless special authorization is provided by the warden of the facility. In addition, visitors may arrive to the facility as early as 7:30 a.m. on visitation days. Milton, which is located in Santa Rosa County, Florida, is a part of the Pensacola Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is physically located in the center of Santa Rosa County, and it is bordered by the city of Pace, Florida, to the west, and it is bordered by the city of Navarre, Florida, to the south. As of 2020, the city’s population was 10,197. The town was formed in 1844 and is the location of the Naval Air Station Whiting Field. In addition, the town’s total area is 4.6 square miles, 4.4 of which are land, and 0.2 of which are water.

As of the year 2000, the town was home to 7,045 people, 1,831 families, and 2,674 households. The area’s population density during this period was 1,611.1 inhabitants per square mile.
