About the County / Hamilton County Inmate Search
Hamilton County was founded on December 26, 1827, from parts of Jefferson County. It is named after Alexander Hamilton, the United State’s first Secretary of the Treasury. The borders have remained the same since its founding and it remains the only county in all of Florida that is completely north of Interstate 10.
