Hardee County Jail Visitation Hours

The Hardee County Jail is open for visitation every day from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. These hours may differ based on the inmate behavior and holidays. Visitation at the Hardee County Jail is free on-site, or visitors can opt for a remote visit for a small fee. All visitors must be approved through www.securustech.net and can visit up to 4 times a week on-site.

Hardee County Sheriff

Sheriff Vent Crawford has lived in Hardee County his whole life. He has built both his life and his family there. Beginning his career in Miami as a trooper before going to the Florida Highway Patrol as a Lieutenant, Sheriff Crawford has worked in every county south of Polk during his 28-year law enforcement career. He continues to be an active community volunteer member as a volunteer firefighter, serving as a mentor for at-risk high school students, and chairing the juvenile justice board. He is currently working on his Masters in Criminology from AMU.

Hardee County was established in 1921 and named after Cary A. Hardee, Florida’s 23rd governor. The main focus of Hardee County is agriculture. They are the third highest milk producing county in the state and the fifth highest for commercial citrus production. It is popular for being home to Peace River which is great for canoeing, kayaking, and alligator sightings.
