Sheriff Rick Ramsay’s passionate wish to serve his community caused him to attend the Florida Keys Institute of Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Academy Class of 1987. When he graduated in November 1987, his career as a road patrol deputy with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office began.
