Nassau County Sheriff / Nassau County FL Inmate Search

Sheriff Bill Leeper is a life-long resident of Nassau County. He served 35 years with the Florida Highway Patrol, prior to retiring as a Captain. Also, he and his wife Emma own and operate a retail business in Fernandina Beach. He’s additionally a previous City Commissioner and 2-term Mayor of Fernandina Beach.

In 1971, the New York Mets drafted Bill after his high school senior year. He played professional Minor League Baseball and is one of Nassau County’s “Top 50 Athletes” from 1949-1999 according to the Fernandina Beach News Leader. About Nassau County, Florida

Nassau County is the northeastern most county in Florida. According to the 2020 United States Census, the county’s population was 90,352. The county is home to the Nassau County Jail, where inmates may be located by conducting a Nassau County FL inmate search here.
