Visitation

Inmates at the detention center in Pasco County may have two forty-five minute onsite video visits a week. Visitation takes place between the hours of 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday. If a prisoner or guest fails to follow the jail rules, visits could be restricted.

Pasco County Sheriff / Pasco County Inmate Search

The Sheriff of Pasco County is Chris Nocco. He has been the sheriff since he was appointed by Governor Rick Scott in 2011. In 2012, he was elected for the position, then he was re-elected unopposed in both 2016 and 2020.

Before being serving in his current position and working at the Pasco Sheriff’s Office as a major and a captain, Nocco worked with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the Philadelphia Public School Police, and the Fairfax County Police Department. Nocco was a first responder during the 9/11 attacks, during the Washington, DC sniper case, during the anthrax attacks, and during several large-scale protests that occurred in Washington, DC.

Demographics

According to the 2000 Census, the county contained 344,765 residents,147,566 households, and 99,016 families. The population concentration consisted of 463 people per square mile. There were 173,717 housing units with an average density of 233 per each square mile. The racial percentage of the county was 93.70 percent White, 2.07 percent Black or African American, 0.35 percent Native American, 0.94 percent Asian, 0.03 percent Pacific Islander, 1.52 percent from some other race, and 1.38 percent from two or more races. 5.69 percent of the population were Latino or Hispanic of any race.
