Jail Visitation Hours / St. Johns County Inmate Search

Before scheduling a visit, it is recommended that you first review the St. Johns County Jail view to ensure that the inmate is at the facility. To conduct a St. Johns County inmate search, click here. The hours for inmate visitation are as follows:

Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Jail Visitation Rules

• Inmates are allowed two 60 minute visitations a week.

• Appointments for visitations must be made at least 24 hours ahead of the appointment.

• Visitors are required to arrive at the facility 15 minutes before their scheduled visit with proper identification in hand.

• Only 4 visitors are allowed during one visitation.

• Any misconduct or inappropriate behavior during the visitation may be grounds for termination of the visitation.

• Inmates are also able to visit virtually with the HomeWav video kiosks located in their housing areas.

Sheriff’s Office

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office offers many programs for their community. Some of them include, the Citizen Law Enforcement Academy, Women Against Violent Encounters, and Community Engagement Programs and Initiatives. In addition, the office is a nationally and state accredited office. Further, the office became the first law enforcement agency in Northeastern Florida area to receive accreditation status in 1991.

St. Johns County Sheriff

Robert A. Hardwick is the sheriff of St. Johns County Florida. He was elected as the sheriff in November of 2020 after working as the 11th Police Chief of the St. Augustine Beach Police Department between the years of 2013-2020. In addition, Sheriff Hardwick has spent at least 29 years working in the law enforcement field. The sheriff has also served as a member of the United States Army and the Florida Army National Guard.
